Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Capless: the snippet, the API, the MCP server and the dashboard at app.capless.sh. Questions: hello@capless.sh.

#The service

Capless collects web analytics and session replays from websites that include the Capless snippet, stores them, and lets you read, query, export and delete them.

#Projects and accounts

• A snippet from capless.sh works before you have an account. Its project is unclaimed: it collects up to the included usage and is deleted 14 days after its first event unless someone claims it.
• Whoever holds the claim secret (the csk_… link) can view an unclaimed project and claim it for an account. Keep it private.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, API keys and claim secrets.

#Your data and your visitors

• The data you collect is yours. We process it only to provide the service to you.
• You decide what Capless collects on your sites. You are responsible for telling your visitors and, where the law requires it, getting their consent.
• Do not send data you are not allowed to process, such as payment card numbers or health records, in custom events or properties.

#Plans and billing

• Starter costs $5 per month for one member; Team costs $29 per member per month. Both include the same usage per project; usage beyond it is billed at the rates on the pricing page at the end of each monthly period.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; the plan runs until the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial months.
• You can set a monthly spend cap. When the estimated bill reaches it, collection pauses until the next period or until you raise the cap.

#Acceptable use

Do not use Capless to break the law, to track people on sites you do not operate, to attack or overload the service, or to resell it as your own without an agreement with us.

#Availability and changes

We work to keep Capless available and your data intact, but the service is provided as is, without a service level agreement unless you have a separate contract. We may change these terms; for material changes we will tell account owners by email at least 30 days in advance.

#Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

#Ending

You can delete your data and stop using Capless at any time. We may suspend projects that break these terms after telling you why, unless the breach is an attack on the service or other users.
